YOSHINOYA is a casual, new-style Ryokan at the heart of Kusatsu Spa Resort just a two-minute walk from the Yubatake making it a great place to use as a base to explore the town and surrounding area.
Both the men’s and women’s spa baths at YOSHINOYA draw their hot spring waters from the Yubatake spring source. To fully enjoy the hot spring experience of ‘Onsen-ism’ at the Kusatsu Spa Resort town, the spa water temperature and volume are regulated at YOSHINOYA. However, while staying at this renowned spa town, why not also take the opportunity to get out and about and enjoy the many and varied free public as well as fee-based bathhouses, outdoor baths and footbaths in town.
Water Quality: the spa waters at Kusatsu are very hot (ranging from 25 to 95 degrees Celsius) and highly acidic (ranging from PH 1.7 to 2.1) and include sulphur, aluminium, sulphate and chloride.
Effects: the high acid content of the spa waters at Kusatsu are said to be good for easing neuralgia, alleviating muscular and arthritic pain, as well as being good for skin conditions, chronic female disorders etc.
