Cross the watari-roka passageway over the naka-niwa garden to semi-detached guestroom "Anzu". Besides the 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room and 2-chair veranda, Anzu features a Western-style room with a bed-like raised platform that can accommodate 1-2 futons (in addition to 1-5 futons in the Japanese-style room). For guests who are not comfortable sleeping on the floor, they can enjoy a futon spread out on the platform.
"Anzu" is Japanese for 'apricot', and our city is Japan's largest producer of apricots in Japan. This room's garden boasts a heritage-variety apricot tree, so guests can enjoy the blossoms in early April, and the freshly-picked tart fruit at the end of June.
